In order to apply for the specialist title in radiation oncology pursuant to a postgraduate training programme, candidates must provide proof that they have completed at least the following courses:
- 3 annual scientific conferences organised by medical speciality societies for radiation oncology (e.g. SASRO; DEGRO; SFRO; ESTRO; ASTRO) comprising at least 50 credits
- 2 teaching courses of ESTRO (or equivalent training event)
- 1 course in medical physics and treatment planning (SASRO / SSRMP / SSRO / ESTRO)
- 5 tutorials of the SSRO
Acquisition of the specialist knowledge and expertise for therapeutic use of systems and sealed radioactive sources pursuant to the regulations of the Radiation Protection Ordinance, incl. completion of the > courses recognised by the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) and the practical postgraduate training (SASRO / SSRMP / SSRO).
