As the holder of a Swiss Federal postgraduate training title or recognised foreign postgraduate training title you are obliged to undergo continuous medical education for as long as you practise medicine in Switzerland. continuous medical education is mandatory irrespective of the level of employment. Pursuant to the Ordinance on Continuous Medical Education of the FMH, 50 hours (50 credits) of verified and structured continuous medical education and 30 hours of self-study must be completed annually. You are obliged to undergo continuing continuous medical education with effect from the year following the one in which the specialist examination was taken.
The continuous medical education for doctors with the specialist title in radiation oncology/radiology is regulated in the continuous medical education programme of the SSRO.
