The Swiss Cancer Institute Young Oncology Academy is a support and mentoring program for young oncologists. The program is aimed at residents with a clear focus on cancer medicine, haematology, radio-oncology, urology, gynaecology, pathology or dermatology who wish to make an active contribution to clinical and translational research.
Academy participants are mentored by a renowned faculty member for almost a year. The main focus is to give the young talents an insight into the successful development, management, implementation and publication of a clinical trial. As part of the Swiss Cancer Institute Academy, participants also attend either the ESMO, EHA (for haematologists),ESTRO (for radiation oncologists) or ESP (for pathologists) congress.
